This coat is size 2-L, dated 1942-43 and in very good condition.

SOLD  UO54  Original World War II Army Air Forces Winter Flying Jacket and Trousers.

The jacket is size 36R and type AN653-AN-J4 and in near-new condition.  The leather is soft and supple with no tears.  The zipper works perfectly.

The trousers are Type B-1,  size SMALL and in NEW condition.  The leather is soft and supple.  There is no scuffing or tears and the zipper works perfectly. 

This set is ready for a museum!

These trousers are for the "pinks and greens" World War II officer.  They are in new, unused condition with the manufacturer's tag and have never been hemmed.  There are several small moth nips on the leg.  They are size 33 Short and the UNHEMMED inseam is 33 inches.  $25

UO49  Suit, Flying, Very Light, Cotton Twill, K-1.

This World War II flying suit is size Medium-Regular and is in excellent, unused condition.  $200

UO48  Identified World War II Sixth Infantry Division Tunic.

This tunic is size 38 short and in good condition.  There is some light mothing.    On the uniform are screwback enlisted infantry collar brass,  pinback 20th Infantry Regiment crests (I believe they are theater made as they are unmarked and have a "C" type clasp.),  a "Ruptured Duck" patch, a sterling clutchback Combat Infantry Badge, five ribbons, an OD bordered Sixth Infantry Division patch,  sergeant stripes and four Ooerseas bars.  This uniform is from the estate of Chester J. Mauzy and includes his certificate of promotion to corporal issued by the 20th Infantry Regiment dated August 1941, a two-page issue of the Sixth Infantry Division newsletter dated April 23, 1945 and a "yard long" photo of Company M, 20th Infangtry, Sixth Division taken at Fort Leonard Wood in July 1941.  The photo is 8 by 28 inches in size.  The three paper items are in excellent condition.  $185

Back has map of Europe with list of cities.  Unit that made this is unknown.  Probably made by a cartographic unit.    Excellent condition, no labels, $1,200

 
UO46  World War I United States Marine Corps Uniform

Includes tunic, trousers and belt, enlisted collar insignia, World War I Victory Medal ribbon with star,  pinback Expert Rifleman badge,  numbered USMC Good Conduct Medal (No. 61145), two bullion chevrons on the lower left sleeve and a 5th Marine Brigade patch on left shoulder.  The patch is of red and black felt applique construction with a "V" of heavy white cord.  Excellent condition,  $1,800

UO45  World War II Ike Jacket.

This jacket was manufactured by Sigmund Eisner company, dated June 10 1944,  is size 36R, has a Third Army patch on the left shoulder, an 11th Armored Division patch on the right shoulder, felt Tech 5th Grade rank, seven ribbon bars, Coast Artillery collar brass, Ruptured Duck patch, one Service Stripe and three Overseas Bars.  The unit patches and the rank have been completely surrounded by private purchase style dog tag chain.  Included with the jacket is a single notched dog tag stamped "JAMES E WILSON,  37619113, T43  44  A,  P".  The jacket has "W-9113" inked on the lining.  This jacket has some mothing but is in otherwise good condition.  $250

UO44  Vintage USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) Cruise Jacket.

This jacket is heavily decorated with three patches on the front, 8 country flags on the right sleeve, a Capricorn patch on the left sleeve, "MIKE" on the breast pocket and a fully embroidered back.  On the back is an American Eagle and American flag and "USS. THEODORE ROOSEVELT, (CVN-71),  "ILLINOIS",  ITALY, ISRAEL, SPAIN, EGYPT, FRANCE, TURKEY, GERMANY, NORTH ATLANTIC & MED - CRUISE, 1988 - 89."  This is a jacket from the maiden cruise.

UO38   "LIFE PRESERVER, VEST TYPE, MARK 1",    U.S. Navy issue, size XX-Large,  includes, inflation cartridge, strobe light, whistle and dye marker packet.    Inflates manually or automatically when immersed in water or by mouth.    Purple is the color that indicates deck crewmen who handle aviation fuel.  This vest is in new, unissued condition,  $250

UO37  World War II U.S. Marine Corps Clip-On Uniform Tie,  khaki tie with olive-green plastic clip-on device, clearly ink stamped "T.H. LONEY" (I can't get the ink stamp to show up clearly in the photo.), probably a privately purchased item,  no label,   approximately 21 inches in length,   good condition,  $50

NOTE:  This tie is from the estate of Theodore H. Loney.  Mr. Loney was awarded a Silver Star Medal for heroism on Iwo Jima.  See page 204 of the book "HEROES, U.S. MARINE CORPS, 1861 - 1955", by Jane Blakeney.







UO36  World War II U.S. Army Pre-Tied Uniform Tie,  khaki,  probably a privately purchased item,  no maker label,  pre-tied section is approximately 13 inches in length,  two available,  slightly different shades of khaki,  good condition,  $25 each.

Richard L. Richards was born in Chicago, IL on June 4, 1933.  He was commissioned an Ensign USNR on Jan 26, 1956 from OCS at Newport, RI.  He received his NFO Wings in October 1956 and was assigned to VAW-12 at NAS Quonset Point, RI. and aboard USS RANDOLP (CVA-15).    In July 1959 Lt. (j.g.)  Richards entered the new F-4 PHANTOM II program.  He graduated from USAF FIO School at Connally AFB in March 1960 and was then promoted to Lieutenant and accepted for Regular USN.  After an initial Instructor Assignment he served with VF-41 and VF-84 in USS INDEPENDENCE (CVA-62).  These tours included two Mediterranean cruises, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and a Far East deployment in 1965, where he flew 109 combat missions over North Vietnam.  He was promoted to Lieutenant Commander in 1966 and left the Navy that year to become a Test RIO with McDonnell Aircraft Company in St. Louis, MO.  After transferring to the Naval Reserve, LCDR Richards served with various drilling units, including three tours as Commanding Officer.  He was promoted to Commander in 1973 and Captain in 1980.  He retired from the Naval Reserve in 1986.  His decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross, eight Air Medals, the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat “V”, the Navy Unit Citation and the Vietnam Service Medal.  He flew 13 years in F-4’s and F-15’s.
